I'm a software developer who graduated from McMaster University. I have a degree in philosophy, as well as years of experience in software development (both as a student research and TA, and in the industry). I became interested in open access several years ago and since then have worked to promote open access as well as free and open software. I created a textbook search engine that looks for public domain books, and gave a presentation on it at the Toronto OpenCon Satellite. I am also interested in getting involved in Creative Commons as I attended the CC Global Summit this past spring. I am passionate about all things open and interested in finding more projects and people to work with.
