Julia Reda is the Pirate in the European Parliament, representing a young worldwide movement of people who believe in using technology for the empowerment of all.

She's a member and one of the Vice-Chairs of the Greens/EFA group and a co-founder of the Parliament’s current Digital Agenda intergroup.

From 2010 to 2012, she was chairwoman of the Young Pirates and have been taking care of the international coordination of the youth organisation ever since. She's founding chairperson of the Young Pirates of Europe.
