I'm a member of the Botanical Information and Ecology Network (BIEN; http://bien.nceas.ucsb.edu/bien/ ). The goal of the BIEN group is to make high quality plant data freely and easily available, including occurrence records, range maps, phylogenies, and trait data. I'm also interested in establishing common data standards in order to facilitate data sharing and re-use.
