I am a medical-doctor-turned-neuroscientist currently doing my PhD at the Center for Stroke Research Berlin & Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive & Brain Sciences in Leipzig. My research is focussed on developing and validating brain imaging methods for measuring blood flow & oxygenation in patients with cerebrovascular diseases. I've recently developed an interest in open science - particularly the sharing of research data and analysis tools, and I'm also very interested in the use & misuse of statistics in biomedical research. I'm also passionate about science writing. I was Editor-in-chief of my graduate school's newsletter for several years and I blog occasionally.
